@all: Thank you for all the feedback! We are finally online now with http://themekraft.com, the new home for our themes and plugins, with FAQ, Forums, Groups and more. This comment area will be closed, because it is too hard to support on several places and everybody can participate from it when bringing it all into one place. Looking forward to see you there!

Is there a code for disabling the activity feed with this theme. The following code actually doesn’t work for me http://buddypress.org/community/groups/creating-extending/forum/topic/disable-activity-rss/

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Hi Stacy, from now on support and FAQ can be found on our new site http://themekraft.com. It was hard to support on 3 different places. Could you ask this question in the forum there? We’ll check this and give a detailed answer there. This way everyone else with the same question can participate from it. Thanks a lot. :)

  • Daniel says:

    Hey K,

Love the theme and it works fine for me! Only tested on Mac/Firefox so far though.

    Anyway I have a newbie-question;

Ive edited single/archive.php and put a left column before the padder- works great.

Now, I want to news/latest posts page look the same. I may be both blind and stupid but I cant find the code/file to edit. Usually it I edit the same .php file on every theme… not in this case?

    WP 3.0.1
    BP 1.2.5

    Any help is appreciated :)

Hi, thanks for using and loving!
Have a look at the index.php (if you are talking about your latest posts home/starting page).

  • Doug says:

OK…I wanna use the “site activity” as my home page but I want to keep the slideshow constant with a category of either 4 pages or 4 posts. What is the trick?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Hi, until yet, you can show the slider on a page that you’ve created or on your dynamic homepage showing the latest posts. Directory views and site activity is not available yet. Very good point. Thanks for your feedback. If you are looking for help or would like to participate somehow in our themes check out:

  • Hi again,
Apparently I’m hopeless…I love the way my site is starting to look on the iphone(using your theme), it’s kind of how I’ve envisioned it from the start. Is there somewhere you can recommend I get the css info to make basic changes to my website so that I can get the (big screen- no matter the browser)home computer to match what it looks like on the Iphone? (I haven’t been able to change more than the background using your in theme suggestion, which is great by the way!)Also I have heard that not having any WordPress logos or info will help keep me from getting hacked but after changing the footer.php both in my database and through the theme I have failed to make any actual changes. I hate to keep bothering you, but as a noob, I’ve no idea where else to go?! Point me in the right direction and I’ll try to leave you alone. I promise. :} Thanks.

~looking for css examples that will work in your theme

    • Konrad Sroka says:

      hi, some starting points:

      - CSS: Honestly I don’t know really a CSS library site. selfhtml is not bad to look up how things are used and written. What can I say, if I need to look up something: Google for the terms.
      - check out the documentation from wordpress and buddypress. I’m sure you’ll find some answers – maybe to questions you already abandoned…
      - WordPress logos: no problem with getting hacked, that makes no sense for me. It’s just an image. Changing the php files is not good. Your changes will be lost with every update. And you don’t want to loose changes or being blocked from updating when there are new features or bug fixes…

If it is something you don’t want to abandon though, be sure to make a backup of the footer.php and replace it again after updating. That will work, but that’s not what I recommend… :)

Last and one of the main starting points since today is our new site with FAQ, Forums, Tricks, etc.:
      http://themekraft.com

Finally, we are online since today, able to provide a new home for our themes and users. You are of course invited to test, report, ask questions or participate in any way you like. I think you will enjoy it, have a look. See you there.

      P.S. registration is for free…

P.P.S. I would not make a site that big, it should be visible for people with smaller screens also, and to much variance will not look nice. You also don’t want to have paragraphs that are 1.5 meters wide… Some impression: What about a biiig background image where quite much is going on? Wouldn’t that be a solution? I’m always impressed when I see a background image is much wider than my screen and still looks nice if you zoom out…

  • Aaron Carey says:

I am getting the error “”Call to undefined function cap_get_options() “” when i try and use the browser with any wysiwyg editor

its on line 219 of library.php

    What can I do?

  • Mathias says:

    Hello,
thank you for this wonderful theme.
I have two questions. Like others before I have the issue, that the featured category does not stick to the slideshow. Homepage is the usual blog page from WP. How to fix this?

The other problem is CSS settings for tables. When included they overflow the post container. I cant’t find the css-id to shrink tables to 100% of the post’s size. Thank you for your help.

The table issue you can see here: http://www.mygoal.de/de/trainingsplan/
It looks fine on the first view but the 6th row is missing.

    Regards,
    Mathias

    • Konrad Sroka says:

      Hi. to the slideshow:
strange. when we tested it worked for different categories. But we will have a look again. In the meantime you can try following: Deactivate all plugins instead of Akismet and Buddypress. Then checkout if the problem still exists. If you know you have any other jQuery running, check this point also, maybe it is a jQuery conflict. If you see something, let us know. thanks for reporting.

To the CSS tables: Your content is not wide enough for this table (at the moment). Or your table is too big… :) If you check style.css on line 1244 you will see this:
“table tr td, table tr th”

In this style you’ll need to adapt your padding. Instead of “3px 12px;” just insert “3px 4px;” That should fit already.

  • Alli says:

Getting a fatal error message when I click on the members or group page of the website under community- it was fine for about a week, so I’m not sure if it’s something I did or not-

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_dtheme_page_on_front() in /home1/sewnet/public_html/bikecuriousnyc/wp-content/themes/custom-community/functions.php on line 12″

I would appreciate any fix solutions. The website is http://www.bikecuriousnyc.com if you want to see it.

Also I have been trying to remove the navigation bar of the theme and consolidate it onto the buddy press admin navigation with a plugin- but the themes nav bar wont budge- if you know the fix, thatd be great.

    Thanks!

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Hi, to the first issue: activate another theme and then simply reactivate Custom Community. All your settings will be the same and the error message should disappear. To the navigation bar: I don’t know exactly what the plugin does, but you’ll find the styles for the menu at the end of style.css file. Just remember: Don’t change this file, go to your backend to theme settings page under the tab “overwrite CSS” and make your changes there. It will be save when updating, no changes from you will be lost. “#access” is the style of the menu bar. It is moved down by margin-top. If you change this value, you will see the effect.

  • Jack says:

Hi Konrad, so many thanks for your nice theme. I have used it to my new blog, hope everything will be ok!

  • Marklar says:

Having the same problem as Manami, the slideshow shows the latest four posts no matter the category. Also the slideshow is not displaying any pictures.

The slideshow is on the BP install regular default home page.

Category in the slideshow tab of the Theme settings is set to Featured.

Love the theme – it will really be awesome with the slideshow working.

    • Konrad Sroka says:

      Ok, check these steps:

      1. do you have at least 4 posts in category featured?
      2. do you see the titles of the posts? then the slideshow works
      3. No images? Check if you activated a featured image for the posts shown in the slideshow! You will find the “featured image” option when editing an article, on the right side below the tags-field.

The slideshow does not resize the images. The images are aligned centered. So your images need to be big enough. Default size image slideshow: 756x250px.

If you checked these points, all should be fine now. If not, maybe you found a bug…

      • Marklar says:

The titles show up in the gallery but not for the selected category ‘Featured’. Instead, it shows the four most recent posts only, one of which is in the featured category.

I do have at least four articles categorized as featured.

I did not have the featured images set as you described but I now have them set them for the featured articles (no change). Then I set them for the articles that the gallery is actually showing headlines for and that didn’t give me images in the slideshow either.

I AM using images embedded via URL so I guess I’ll try uploading images to use and see if that makes a difference, then I’ll report back.

      • Marklar says:

Well, I uploaded a .jpg (756x250px)to the WP media library and set the featured image to that for all featured articles. Still no images in the slideshow.

I also set all of the articles it shows headlines for to featured with the same image set as the featured image.

        Still nothing.

      • Marklar says:

Okay, I have images now. Obviously you don’t get that ‘Use as slideshow image’ link when you select the ‘from URL’ option and it took me awhile to notice it when using an uploaded image.

Category selection still isn’t working out for me though.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

Hi, thank you very much for the detailed reporting! To the category: Do you use this slideshow on your homepage? If yes, the auto generated one or a static page defined by you? Auto generated (your latest posts): Check the theme settings page. If you use the slideshow on another page, you have to make all settings in the page editing screen (when editing the page, at the bottom, you have a field for slideshow settings). If it still doesn’t work, let me know.

        • Marklar says:

I’m only trying to use it on the home page, “Auto generated (your latest posts)”.

In the Slideshow tab of the Theme Settings the slideshow is set to Enabled, and the category is set to Featured.

There are exactly four articles set as Featured and each has had a Featured image set for it, though at this point they all use the same image.

Instead of showing these four articles that are categorized as featured it simply shows the four most recent posts at the top of the page though.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

can you send me a link? will have a look on it as soon as I can…

        • Marklar says:

LOL, just click on my name. I’ve been filling out the Website field on your comment form, so it will link you right to it.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

          :) yeah it’s really late already, 4.00 AM…
          good night!

        • Marklar says:

I understand, don’t feel pressured. I have plenty of time.

The site is still very much in beta at the moment and being built to get us off of Ning like so many others right now. The current members are beta testers and I don’t expect to open the site to the 2,600+ members from our Ning site until the end of December at the earliest.

I really appreciate the quick responses and don’t want you to feel rushed. I love the theme and it’s easy CMS enough to stick with it for awhile without giving up on it. Even if it takes a couple of weeks to get this last bit with the category control worked out I’ll be more than satisfied.

BTW: Is there any way to control the slideshow timimg interval? I’d like to be able give my users a little more time to read the description before the image changes.

        • Marklar says:

Have you had a chance to take a peek at my site yet. Still struggling on figuring out why the category setting isn’t working. The URL is http://12160.info/community – it couldn’t be a problem that the WP w/buddypress install is in a subdirectory rather than the root could it?

        • Konrad Sroka says:

Dear Marklar, thank you very much for your reporting, we would really like to check this problem in detail. We are freshly online now with http://themekraft.com, the new home for our themes with FAQ, forums and more. Can you please post your problem with detailed description in the themekraft forum? we’ll give a detailed answer there and this way every user of the theme can participate from it… I would like to close this comment area, because we just want to have 1 place for support… thank you for your time and see you there, konrad

  • mr henry says:

now i cant seem to figure out how to get a custom background … the custom css tip u gave doesnt seem to be working for me

  • Katy says:

I’m trying to get the theme working but I get the error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() (previously declared in /homepages/34/d318596349/htdocs/co2chem/co2chem/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:20) in /homepages/34/d318596349/htdocs/co2chem/co2chem/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php on line 63

This crashed my website and wp dashboard and the only way I could correct it was by deleting the theme from the backend as I wasn’t sure how to activate my old theme. Can you help?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

sorry for this, if you deactivated it, now simply reactivate the theme and all should work. This was a problem caused when we switched from child theme to parent theme. You’ll need to deactivate and activate it once. Hope this helps you. New version is coming soon.

      • mr henry says:

i cant figure out how to “deactivate it” the only way for me to access my back-end is by deleting the theme all-together by ftp … then when i reinstall both by ftp and thru the theme admin i get the same error.

        • mr henry says:

ok i fixed it by deactivating the Buddypress-templates plug-in first … i hope this helps

        • Konrad Sroka says:

if you deleted the files via FTP, and you go back to your backend to “themes”, you should see another theme activated. That was what I meant with deactivating. When you now reactivate the theme all should work.

If not, try this: deactivate all plugins instead of Akismet and Buddypress. Then deactivate and reactivate the theme and check if it works.

      • Katy says:

I did the same, disabled the theme plugin,
however I now can’t get any of my community pages to load, I just get a fatal error. Any ideas? All my old wordpress pages work just fine.

  • mulder says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_dtheme_page_on_front() in /home/freeeli1/public_html/fashionclubbingtour.com/wp-content/themes/custom-community/functions.php on line 126

    • Konrad Sroka says:

hi, sorry for answering so late… can you see your backend? then try to activate another theme and then simply reactivate custom community and all should work. It’s because it is a parent theme now, it was a child theme before.

      • Katy says:

Got the theme to load and all my wp pages work. But now have the same error as Mulder whenever I try to load any buddypress powered community content. Tried changing theme and then changing back but it makes no difference.

  • Dan says:

When I activate the theme, I get this error when I try to view my site:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_cc_page_options() in /home/prepare/public_html/preparedness-community/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/custom-community/header.php on line 9

    • Konrad Sroka says:

  • Elizabeth says:

Thank You So Much! Perfection! Love the theme & love the help!

  • Manami says:

Great theme! I like the slide show. But I cannot get the "Select a category to display in slideshow" option to work. Regardless of my choice it shows all categories. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Hm… Is it on your homepage? If yes, the auto-generated or a page chosen by you? And if yes, did you set the option when editing this page or in the global theme settings page? This would help a lot to identify… Thanks for reporting!

      • Manami says:

        Thanks for helping me.

        > Is it on your homepage?

        Yes.

        > If yes, the auto-generated or a page chosen by you?

Sorry, I'm new to WordPress so I'm not sure if I understand this correctly. In the Reading Settings, I changed the "Front page displays" to "A static page" and I tried to select the page that I created to the "Front Page", but the change does not take the effect (it remains as "Main page"). However, I can change the "Post page", so I set the page here.

        > And if yes, did you set the option when editing

        > this page or in the global theme settings page?

        Yes, they are both set.

        I really appreciate your help.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

Sorry I don't understand this part: "the page that I created to the “Front Page”, but the change does not take the effect (it remains as “Main page”). However, I can change the “Post page”, so I set the page here."

If you choose "a static page" to be shown as homepage, this page you have chosen there (any page) should be shown as homepage. Have a look first, if this works. Must work.

Then, next step, if you edit this page, you can choose the slideshow settings for this page, within the page edit screen, at the bottom of the page.
There you can select the category of the posts to display. When testing it last time, all worked. Please let me know if it worked. Hope I could help, Konrad

        • Manami says:

My problem is solved. My WP was acting funny, so I re-installed it. Before, it didn't let me set any static page as Front Page. Now the slide show is working. I really appreciate your help, and sorry for the trouble.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

you are welcome, hope you enjoy our theme!

  • Elizabeth says:

    Hi,

I too really like your theme. Maybe it's because I'm a newbie but I was wondering if you can tell me why I keep getting this error when trying to change the Header in theme settings

"Warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: The second argument should be either an array or an object in /home/content/39/6947839/html/wp-content/themes/custom-community/admin/library.php on line 78"?

I hit import and I get this line several times and no new header. I've looked for an answer elsewhere but have found nothing. Thanks for any help you can give.

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Hi, the import button is to import predefined settings. If you have changed some settings in the header section or somewhere else in the theme settings area, you will always have to click "save" to save your changes. Or did I misunderstand you?

      • Elizabeth says:

        Hi,

Actually I was the problem. :) I had not uploaded the image correctly. I got it working. Thank You. ~On another note, can you tell me how large I should make an image that I want to set as the background and it fit proportionally. (there will be columns and I want them to line up evenly with the other vertical lines of the theme.)

        Thanks again.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

the background image of the container should be 1030px wide to fit pixel-perfect without repeating horizontally. to check out all sizes in your browser pixel prefect, there are two very nice firefox add-ons that I recommend:

measurelt: ruler to measure everything in your browser…
firebug: developer tool that shows you all the concerning css styles and the html produced on he site you are watching

check them out, you'll never want to work without them again.

  • Justin says:

I'm having an issue when creating a new blog, the blog takes the title of the parent site and not the blog title. Is there a code tweak to fix this?

  • Nelly A. says:

Dear Konrad, thank you for your theme, it's really great. I've just one question – is there any way to remove the posts loop from the index page? It seems to be hardcoded somewhere (and apparently not in the index.php file) that I cannot find.

Thank you in advance, hope it's possible :)

    • Konrad Sroka says:

      Hi Nelly, thanks!
You have an option in the backend under wp-admin/options-reading.php.
There you can define a page as homepage or show your latest posts automatically… :)
      Have fun, Konrad

      • Nelly A. says:

Oh, I really didn't want to lose the beautiful frontpage slideshow, that's why I decided not to assign the home page status to any other static page.

But I figured out why I couldn't find the correct peace of code to remove the loop: WP admin backend didn't show the correct index.php in the themes editor, substituted it with members/index.php, so I simply opened the one I needed via FTP.

Thank you once again, will look forward for the pro version :)

        • Konrad Sroka says:

Oh better stay out of the theme files, that's not update save. Your changes will be lost when updating. So if we add new features or fix bugs you won't be able to update. Just choose a page you want to show as homepage. You can enable a slideshow in the page edit screen of a page. :) So when editing your chosen homepage, you have an extra field at the bottom of your screen for the custom community settings. You can enable a slideshow for every single page if you like. I think that's exactly what you are searching for. You can also add a post template to show your last posts of a category. Have fun, Konrad

  • Aaron Carey says:

I updated the custom community theme and am recieving this error:

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_add_blog_comments_js() (previously declared in /home/content/f/r/u/fruitforfish/html/hibredclothing.com/wp-content/themes/custom-community/functions.php:294) in /home/content/f/r/u/fruitforfish/html/hibredclothing.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/functions.php on line 45"

    What should I do now?

    • admin says:

Try to deactive it by changing the theme and then activate it again. If the error still exists please let me know.

      • Mr Henry says:

im having the same issue but i cant even access my wp-admin screen … it says … Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_add_blog_comments_js() (previously declared in /home/dlfanh5/public_html/wp-content/themes/custom-community/functions.php:294) in /home/dlfanh5/public_html/wp-content/themes/bp-default/functions.php on line 27

        • admin says:

          ok, try this:

          1. go via FTP program into your site, to the folder wp-content/themes/ and delete the complete folder custom-community. (all your settings are saved somewhere else, don't worry).
          2. go back to your wp admin screen and refresh, you should see your backend again.
          3. go to themes and activate buddypress default theme.
          4. re-activate custom community.

sorry, maybe this is a problem caused because it became a parent theme now, but therefore it will be update safe when buddypress changes the structure… Hope I could help, Konrad

      • Aaron Carey says:

  • mr henry says:

thanks. for making a great theme again … but im having 2 problems first and most importantly … when i upload a new avatar I cant crop the picture, it automatically chooses the top left of the image which is a big problem for my members, this is an issue on all browsers and with all pic formats,

and secondly i dont know if this is a problem with your theme or the Buddypress sliding log-in plugin but it doesnt work on Internet Explorer. does it have anything to do with the jquery? im new to this so i dont really understand everything.

  • Monica says:

    ok, think I've found it style-lite.css. :)

    • Konrad Sroka says:

hi monica, please be aware that the theme won't be update secure like this. and we have a new version coming now with many bug fixes. this is definetely not a good way.

But I also have a (quite) easy solution for you:

      - the extra field called "overwrite-css" in our theme settings page is update secure
      - if you want to see the current styles before, you should install firebug (firefox add-on). you will be able to see all concerning styles when using it live while watching your site. (when installed, down in the right corner of your browser you will see a small bug, to open it. play around a bit, it's wonderful! you can see your changes live, but when refreshing it is gone)
      - check out page by page what you want to change, open firebug and test around, copy the new style from firebug and paste it in the backend in the field "overwrite css" in our theme settings.

You can do almost all your changes by just using css in the overwrite-css-area.
Even the disabling of avatars should be done by just saying "display:none;".

So, hope I could help you…

Thanks for using and liking our theme. :) Konrad

      • Monica says:

Ah, ok, that's important, to be update secure!

Wow, firebug is amazing. Thanks for that tip.

So, I mostly can overwrite css. But I'm not sure how to simply remove something. Like the avator/author box on the left of each post.

I want to remove it and make sure the post sits properly towards the left.

And get rid of rounded corners.

        • Konrad Sroka says:

          if you say e.g.

          div.post img.avatar { display:none; }

then all avatars in a div with the class post won't be displayed.
something like this, you'll have to check it out in firebug again.
and you must watch out that the avatars do not disappear everywhere, except you want it.

          Have fun, Konrad

  • Monica says:

    Hi there,

thanks so much for this great theme.

I like to customise my themes a lot. I had a ebautiful site on blogger but on my own hosting I'm using WP of course.

    I'm struggling quite a bit.

I can see where I can change any css, but I prefer to see the current css in front of me and make the chnages accordingly. Where can I do that?

I tried choosing custom community and the buddypress default, chnaging things in the style sheets, but nothing changes.

Some things I would like to do is change the size of the post area and sidebar.

Also, get rid of the author avatar on the left side of each post.

And get rid of rounded corners completely.

    Please advise.

Hi, I first wanted to thank you for the great theme! One question I've had thus far:

Where is the link for new users to register?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

Thanks! the register button is in the admin bar and also in the right sidebar. in the new version you can even choose if to show buddypress login/register panel in the sidebar or not.

  • mr henry says:

did u delete my question?? whats goin on with the "current selected menu tab" and the slideshow thumbs not resizing?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

hi, and sorry for answering so late,

i didn't have much time the last days…

current menu tabs: will check it

slideshow: images are not resizing because of quality lose, so should be big enough. you can fix it by your own but changes will get lost with every update… best would be to have images big enough. if you still want to resize, let me know…

    • Konrad Sroka says:

yeah and thanks for using and loving our theme! :P

    • Konrad Sroka says:

oh, what a bad bug! change current menu item's background color will be fixed with the next version 1.5.5. thanks for reporting!

  • Jerry says:

Hello, I love the theme and I so far everything is really easy to edit and work with, how ever I can't get the feature image to fill the entire area.

Also is there a way to make the featured image clickable to the post it is associated with?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

  • Mr Henry says:

ok so im running this theme on my site .. Dlfanhood.com and im loving it. but I'm having minor issues.

first the "menu background colour >> current" option in the theme options doesn't seem to change anything … i would like it to be black instead of white

and the slideshow images aren't resizing automatically … can i fix this?

Thanks for making the best buddypress theme to date.

  • Hi,

I'm new to WP, so I apologize in advance for asking a stupid question, but I can't seem to get your template to work. I installed BuddyPress and your theme, activated your theme, not BuddyPress, but the page looks like the BuddyPress default. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks!

    Megan

  • Jules says:

Great, this worked. THanks. A new problem now is, the gallery shows all 4 post thumbs on gallery on the right, but the large gallery pictures are not changing automatically, also its not possible to mouse over the texts-excerpts on the rioght so its grayed. Any ideas on that? Slideshow is enabled and settings are correct to the correct categories where posts are assigned to. THanks again for your help.

But also I have to say, great theme, great support !!! Very thankful !

    • Konrad Sroka says:

thanks! to the new problem: did you play around somewhere again, e.g. in the functions.php?
if yes, install the theme from new. everything should work from alone. if the problem still exists, let me know and send me a link to the site.

      • Jules says:

:-) No, I played only around for the thumbs, but this ssue is solved now. I reinstalled the theme anyways, but no changes. I did send you the link via the contact form.

        Thanks again for your help

        Best,

        Jules

    Hi there,

I just cant figgure out how I get the slideshow to work. You mentioned I need "post thumbnails for preview" to get it to work. Is that another plugin? Do I need to activate jquery first. Also my post scree does not show the "Custom Community Settings)

I run a fresh (yesterday) insallation of the theme and wp & bp install. So it all should be uptodat. I created 4 posts right categoy in Theme options selected, pictures are in the post, the theme displayes the excerpts f texts correctl however not the images. Can you help please? Thanks alot in advance.

    J.

    • Konrad Sroka says:

      Hi Jules,

post thumbnails is not a plugin, it's a function you got automatically (not in old WP versions).

You will find the post thumbnail option on the right side under the categories and tags fields, when creating a post (not a page). It's not enough to just have some pictures in the post, you need to define a post thumbnail there and choose a picture for it. Hope this helps you to run the slideshow now. should work like this, otherwise let me know.

Another info: the custom community settings in the edit screen are just available for pages, not for posts.

      • Jules says:

        Hi,

first, thanks for the super fast reply.UNfortunattly I can not get the thumbnail option for posts to show up. I checked what solutions are available and played around with the function.php of the theme (e.g. )

All I have in my post panel under the "Post Tags" is a "Feature image" field, but no thumbnails.

reinstalling the skin did not help either. I use hostgator as a host. What could be the problem. Any ideas ?

        Thanks,

        Jules

        nothing really worked.

  • Martins says:

The posts already contain pictures and from what I understood, the pictures were supposed to be retrieved by the programming of theme… or do you mean the images should be hosted in my media folder? because there is the option in WP/BP to add images from URL etc.

    • Konrad Sroka says:

The posts need to have post thumbnails for preview. when you are editing one of the posts, you can see in the right sidebar a special place for the categories: the tags. And under these fields you should find another field just for the post thumbnail. Do you have this field actually?

  • Martins says:

I installed your theme but can't get the slideshow to work correctly, where could it have gone wrong or what can I do to get it right?

    Thx in advance

    • Konrad Sroka says:

hi, i had a look on your site and everything works, you just need to add a picture to each post as preview post thumbnail (you will find this option in the edit screen of every article). hope this helps you.

By the way, we fixed some bugs and will upload a new version tomorrow.

      • Martins says:

Yes I have the field you mean and I just used it in a test post and uploaded an image directly from my PC, that seems to work but pic isn't showing fully as yours here.

Looking forward to your new version tomorrow.

Thanks a million for your prompt and immediate response.

  • Agatha S. says:

After I uploaded your theme to my blog, my administration station won't open anymore.

  • aparadekto says:

Hey, I can't view your site properly within Opera, I actually hope you look into fixing this.

  • s.m. bush says:

The demo above shows screenshots of theme options like "Overwrite CSS" and "Slideshow" that aren't showing up when I activate the theme.

How can I enable those options?

    • Konrad Sroka says:

all these new options come in the new version 1.5, which is finished now, but needs some review time until it is released at wordpress.org. This should happen within the next days, could be also today already.

if you can't wait, here's a link to the trac ticket, where you can download the new version 1.5 if you like:

      http://themes.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/1678

      have fun!

  • Adam says:

How can I remove the "Edit this entry." link at the bottom of each page?

  • Polly says:

i have the same problem. i cannot look the preview as well and it says that a "bp-default" something is missing…

    • Konrad Sroka says:

hi, i tested it, but couldn't reproduce the bug. you said, a "bp-default something is missing": what is something exactly? which php version do you use? by the way, the preview doesn't work for buddypress themes in general, this is not a bug.
      thanks for reporting, konrad

  • Remco says:

Never mind, found it, the server was set on php4 instead of php5

  • H.B says:

I'm having problems with you theme

    • Konrad Sroka says:

sorry, I tested it on WP 3.0.1 and with the newest buddypress version.
What do mean exactly with it doesn't show up?

I would like to help and reproduce your bug, but I need some more information.

      Thanks for reporting!

    • Remco says:

I got the same thing, i have a fresh new wordpress(3.0.1) and buddypress(1.2.5.2) install. But when i install your theme(1.4) the entire site goes blanc. Even the preview shows a blanc page.
